The first reviews of James Cameron’s eagerly awaited sci-fi epic “Avatar” has been published in magazines Variety and The Hollywood Reporter and they are very positive.

Todd McCarthy of Variety writes that the film offers a unique experience, stunning images, thrilling narrative. ” McCarthy has some objections to the simplifications in the script but on the whole, overwhelmingly positive and celebrate, not least the high-tech blend of fiction and computer effects. “Twelve years after ‘Titanic’, which remains the highest-grossing film ever, Cameron delivers again with a film that teaches go home across the world, and in principle all that ever goes to the movies just have to see,” writes Variety critic.

Kirk Honeycutt of The Hollywood Reporter starts with the words: “Twelve years later, James Cameron proof of his words: He is king of the world”, and refers to “Titanic” Honeycutt, also pays tribute to the film’s technical departments. “The screen is filled with more action than any other sci-fi action movie” and “the film’s 161 minutes just fly by.”
